The state has approved a $2 million loan for Anderson-Dubose to consolidate its warehouse operations in Trumbull County.

The Solon-based company will use the loan to build and outfit a new warehouse that will create 50 full-time jobs. The 130,000-square-foot facility will replace the company’s two warehouses in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Anderson-Dubose will retain 94 employees from its Solon warehouse to work at the Trumbull site.

The final site of the warehouse has not been selected, said Walt Goodman, vice president of economic development for the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber.

The warehouse initially was slated to be built in Jackson Township in Mahoning County, but the township board voted unanimously against rezoning residential land for the facility in October.

Anderson-Dubose is the exclusive McDonald’s distributor in this region. The company recently expanded its operations to include the Pittsburgh area.

“From a strategic standpoint, it is advantageous for them to be located in the Mahoning and Trumbull county area,” Good said.

State Rep. Tom Letson of Warren, D-64th, announced the approval of the loan in a press release Monday.

“I am pleased the state recognizes the need for economic development in the Valley,” Letson said in his statement.
