British airspace reopens

Tuesday, April 20, 2010

Britain has reopened its airspace this evening as British

Airways said a flight had arrived at London's Heathrow

Airport, according to the New York Times.

The landing suggests that the worst of the air traffic

crisis plaguing Europe may be coming to an end.

"The Civil Aviation Authority has approved the opening of UK

airspace from 22:00 today," or 5 p.m. New York time, said a

statement from Heathrow Airport.
