WEDNESDAY

• St. John’s Episcopal Church Boar’s Head Ladies will serve dinners of home-cooked chicken, gravy, mashed potatoes, salad, bread and butter, pie and beverage for $6.50 today and Oct. 7. Eat in or call ahead to (330) 743-3175 for takeout.

THURSDAY

• Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman Poland Road, Poland, will have takeout dinners available from 4 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out) the first Thursday of each month. The cost is $6. No need to preorder or get out of the car. Just drive to the front of the church and your meal of baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans will be ready.

FRIDAY

• American Legion on Route 14 in Columbiana is having a fish fry from 4-7 p.m., all you can eat for $10, and $4 for children. The public is welcome.

• Bloomfield-Mespo High School Music Department will sponsor a spaghetti dinner and bake sale from 4 to 7 at the school cafeteria, 2077 Park Road W. The cost is $5 for adults, $4 for those 65 plus and students, and free for children 4 and under. Carryouts are $4.

• Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 :30 to 11 a.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.

• Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed early from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday at (330) 746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Advance sales only. Lunches will be served from 11:30 a.m. till 1 p.m.

• St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order, call (330) 799-0084 after 6 p.m. Thursday or after 8 a.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers needed). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

• St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.

• Potato, prune and kraut pirogi will be sold at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at (330) 755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

• St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will bake Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at (330) 788-0025 between 9-11:30 a.m. only. Pickup will be until 12:30 p.m. Price is $6 for regular or Brier Hill pizza, and $5 for white pizza.

• St. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

• St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at (330) 747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance.

• Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, Warren, will sell all-you-can-eat fish dinners from 3:30-6:30 p.m. The meal includes deep-fried ocean perch, home-fried potatoes, coleslaw, bread, homemade desserts and beverage. The cost is $9 for adults and $3 for children. Meatloaf is also available. Meals can be delivered to the Tod and Buckeye high-rise apartments if the church is called before 1 p.m. at (330) 393-3859.

• Trinity United Methodist Church, 30 W. Front St., will sell takeout homemade chili from 4 to 6 p.m. for $5 a quart or two quarts for $9. Pint containers of chili are $3. No preordering required. Drive to the front of the church, and chili will be delivered to your car.

SATURDAY

• Hartford United Methodist Church, 6846 state Route 305, Hartford, will have a roast beef or turkey dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m.. Meals include dressing, potato, vegetable, salad, bread, dessert and beverage. The cost is $8 for adults and $3.50 for children 6 to 12. Takeouts available.

• Southington United Methodist Church, routes 305 and 534 in Southington, will have a Harvest Home Dinner from 3:30-6 p.m. The menu includes ham, turkey, stuffing, real mashed potatoes, squash, green beans applesauce, and homemade desserts. The cost for adults is $7.50, $4 for children 4 through 10 and under 3 eat free. Carryouts will be available. Call the church at (330) 898-2156 and the dinners will be ready for pickup when you get there.

• Vienna United Methodist Church, 4265 Warren-Sharon Road, will have a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Meals include mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, coleslaw, applesauce, bread, beverage and dessert. Takeouts available. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 5-12, and free for those 4 and under.

SUNDAY

• American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., Youngstown, will serve chicken paprikash dinners from 1 to 3 p.m. Reservations or orders will be accepted until Thursday at (330) 799-7008 or (330) 792-2620. Meals are $8. Patrons may provide containers for takeouts and save a $1 container charge.

• Ellsworth Presbyterian Church, 11171 Akron Canfield Road, Ellsworth, will have a pasta dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 4 to 11. Those 3 and under can eat free.

• Holy Trinity Church, 250 N. Bridge St., Struthers, is sponsoring a stuffed cabbage dinner from noon to 4 p.m. in the parish hall. Prices are $8.50 for adults and $4.50 for children. Takeout will be available; patrons are asked to take their own containers.

• Our Lady of Hungary Church, 545 N. Belle Vista Ave., will serve spaghetti dinners from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Meals include bread, salad and dessert. Presale tickets are $6, and are $7 at the door. The cost for children 12 and under is $3 at the door. Those under 4 eat free. There will also be a Chinese auction, raffles and vendors.

• Poland Masonic Temple, 7685 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, Poland, will serve Swiss steak dinners from noon to 4 p.m. or until sold out. The prices are $8 for adults, $4 for children 12 to 6, and free for 5 years old and younger. Carryouts will be available.

• St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the social hall. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for children 8 and under. • The Relay for Life team of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Vienna will sponsor the Fifth Annual Sharon Williams Memorial Brunch from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the parish center, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road. The menu will include egg casserole, cheese potatoes, sausage, ham, pancakes, fresh fruit, assorted pastries, lettuce and fruit salad, tortillas with eggs, cheese and salsa; and beverages. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children 5-10. Younger children eat free.

• The Auxiliary of VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve breakfasts of eggs, sausage or ham, hash browns, pancakes, freedom toast, toast, and coffee or tea from 8 a.m. to noon. Meals are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

• Youngstown American Hungarian Club is taking carryout orders for stuffed cabbage. The cost is $12 per dozen Take your own container to save a $1.25 fee for each container provided by the club. Orders will by taken until Oct. 15 and are to be picked up at the clubhouse, located at 2219 Donald Ave., Youngstown on Oct 24 from noon to 3 p.m.

• St. Mary’s Church, 356 S. Belle Vista, will have a drive-through stuffed cabbage dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. or until sold out on Oct. 15. Meals of 2 stuffed cabbage, potato, green beans, bread and cake are $8. Drive to front of church hall and the dinner will be delivered to your car.
