ACTORS

“Hey, Lil Red.” Stage Left Players at Trinity Playhouse (formerly Outreach Center), 234 E. Lincoln Way, Lisbon. 40 children grades K-8 are needed to sing, dance and act in this one-act western version of “Little Red Riding Hood.” Come prepared to sing a short up- tempo musical number and dress comfortable to learn a simple dance step. “Believe: White Christmas.” St. Michael Church Hall, Route 46, Canfield. Auditions are 2 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday. Auditioners be prepared to sing a refrain (bring sheet music) and recite a prepared, memorized 30-second monologue. Age 6 through adults. Performances: Dec. 4, 5, 6. (330) 533-8789.

“Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” Youngstown Playhouse Youth Theater, 600 Playhouse Lane, Youngstown. Auditions are at 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. “Miracle on 34th Street.” Youngstown Playhouse, 600 Playhouse Lane, Youngstown. Auditions will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 5 and 6 for men age 35 and up, women age 20 and up, one girl 8-10 and several children age 6 and up. Bring wallet-size photo and be prepared to read from the script. “A Musical Christmas Carol.” Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theater, Penn Ave. Place, 130 CLO Academy Way, Pittsburgh. Auditions from 1 to 9 p.m. Oct. 6 for men and women 20s through 40s. Equity and non- equity performers are eligible. Callbacks Oct. 7. Requirements: Individuals wishing to audition should prepare two songs (in musical-theater style), 16 bars of one ballad and one up-tempo. Auditioners should bring legible sheet music in the correct key. A one-minute monologue done in a British accent is also required. Auditioners should also bring a typed r sum and headshot. Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra. Tri-C Metropolitan Campus Auditorium, downtown Cleveland. Auditions are ongoing for section strings (violin, viola, cello and bass), substitute brass and percussion for the 2009-10 season. Rehearsals are 7:30-10 p.m. Thursdays.
