WARREN — Two men pleaded innocent Friday in Warren Municipal Court to felony charges after police charged them with trying to rob a General Electric Ohio Lamp Plant worker with an Uzilike gun in the plant parking lot Thursday night.

Trovon L Bryant, 18, of Prospect Avenue Northwest, and Anthony Hill, 19, of Union Street Southwest, pleaded innocent to felonious assault. Bryant also pleaded innocent to carrying a concealed weapon. Bond was set at $75,000 for Bryant, $70,000 for Hill.

A 57-year-old worker leaving the plant on North Park Avenue at 11:10 p.m. said three men wearing hoodies pulled up around their faces tried to block him from leaving the plant parking lot by standing in the exit. The man drove through anyway.

As he did, one of the three produced an Uzi-like weapon and fired it toward the vehicle, the man said. No bullet holes were found in his car.

The victim drove to the Warren Police Department to report the incident.

Nearly two hours later, officers noticed three men matching the description given of the robbers and chased them on West Market Street toward downtown, where canine officer Ziggo assisted officers in catching the three.

Officers recovered a black bag that Bryant threw over the West Market Street bridge containing an Intratech 9 millimeter semiautomatic gun, which resembles an Uzi, which has a long ammunition clip on the bottom.

Another 19-year-old man arrested has not been charged, police Chief Tim Bowers said.
