Thursday, September 17, 2009

COLUMBUS (AP) — Ohio has cleaned out its closet and is ready to sell off an odd assortment of stuff it doesn’t want.

A state miscellaneous property auction scheduled for Saturday morning in Columbus will offer a variety of goods including wide-screen TVs, Blackberry smart phones, washers and dryers, a treadmill and a foosball table.

Officials say the items are damaged or no longer of use to state entities, including public colleges. The merchandise also includes things TSA security personnel have collected from airline passengers.

The auction starts at 9 a.m. at the state’s auction warehouse at 4200 Surface Road. Cash, cashiers check, and credit cards accepted.
