Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. McGahagan
CANFIELD — The 60th anniversary of their wedding was observed during this past week by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. McGahagan, 20-3 Stratford Green.
It was on Sept. 3, 1949, that Mr. McGahagan and the former Anna Marie Biggins were united in marriage at St. Patrick Church in Youngstown. The couple are active members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown.
Their children are Thomas J. McGahagan, Kathleen Mackos, Mary Ann McGahagan, Dan McGahagan, and Karen Sciortino, all of Austintown; Michael McGahagan of North Jackson; Meg Callahan and Eileen Lawson, both of Boardman; Nancy D’Errico of Medina; and Terry Love, Kelly Braga and Beth Magliocca, all of Canfield. The family includes 31 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mr. McGahagan is a U.S. Navy veteran. He was employed 37 years at Brier Hill Open Hearth, and 10 years as head custodian at Austintown Middle School prior to retiring in 1994. Mrs. McGahagan is a homemaker.
