MAHONING COUNTY Indictments


A Mahoning County grand jury indicted 16 people this week. The following is a list of those indicted and the crimes of which they are accused.

John Gentile, 20, of Douglas Street in Campbell, William Santiago, 18, of Blackburn Street in Campbell, and Randy Flores, 21, of S. Garland Avenue, felonious assault and illegal conveyance of prohibited items onto the grounds of a detention facility.

Richard A. Markel, 38, of Sandy Road, North Jackson, driving under the influence of alcohol with forfeiture and repeat-offender specifications.

Jamar Houser, 18, Volney Road, improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation and aggravated menacing.

Mason Powers, 22, of North Garland Avenue and Dogwood Lane, aggravated robbery and breaking and entering.

Darlene Barnes-Koziorynsky, 50, of South Avenue, Boardman, receiving stolen property.

Gregory Weidner, 22, Whipple Avenue, Campbell, illegal possession of a weapon and improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle.

Richard Watkins, 21, of Center Street, possession of cocaine.

Brandon Ravnell, 22, Cornell Street, escape.

Christopher Lacey, 22, Idora Avenue, felonious assault.

Louis E. Underwood, 54, Burkey Road, Austintown, illegal possession of a weapon, carrying concealed weapons and possession of cocaine.

Jason M. Jayne, 30, Afton Avenue, Boardman, felonious assault, intimidation of a victim and tampering with evidence.

Luis Sanchez, 28, Monroe Street, Campbell, possession of heroin.

Phillip Johnson, 29, W. LaClede Avenue, possession of cocaine.

Randy Knight, 21, Ohio Avenue, menacing by stalking.

Jacqueline Russell, 51, Robbins Avenue, Niles, theft.

Sammie Smith Jr., 41, Mahoning County jail, aggravated burglary, rape, kidnapping, aggravated robbery and robbery with repeat-violent-offender and sexual-predator specifications.
