3 honored as 4-H volunteers

CORTLAND — Three volunteers for the Trumbull County 4-H program were recently honored for their service.

Winner of the Alumni Award was Terry Parry of Warren, a member of 4-H most of her childhood. She has also been a club adviser for seven years and is the head adviser for the East Ohio 4-H Club.

Matt Hartman of Leavittsburg was awarded the Meritorious Service Award for his service as club adviser for six years and as head adviser for the Trumbull County Cattle Club for the past few years. He has also been an adviser for Trumbull CARTEENS since its inception in 2007.

Stan Szepietowski of Cortland received the Distinguished Service Award for his superior dedication to 4-H. Szepietowski has been involved with 4-H for more than 40 years, having founded a Trumbull County 4-H club and sharing his horse experiences and knowledge with many 4-H’ers.

Szepietowski’s nominator wrote: “He has made an impact on everyone he came in contact with. He has dedicated his life to serving the youth of Trumbull County and the 4-H program.”
