Felonious-assault charges
YOUNGSTOWN— A 19-year-old Youngstown man was in the Mahoning County jail late Thursday on three charges of felonious assault and one charge of receiving stolen property.
Police say Jose Vega fired a handgun at three men on their way home from a local club. The victims told police that Vega followed them from a local bar early Thursday and fired two shots at their moving vehicle.
When the vehicle stopped at a home, the victims told police that Vega fired three more shots, according to police, who found a .38-caliber handgun in Vega’s vehicle. The gun had been reported stolen in 1992, according to the report.
