Woman accused in theft of haunted-house tickets

CINCINNATI (AP) — An Ohio woman has been accused of trying to sell nearly $7,500 worth of tickets that had been stolen from a Cincinnati-area haunted house.

Thirty-three-year-old Nikki Hill of suburban Green Township faced a charge of receiving stolen property Monday in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court.

Officers say Hill had 529 entrance tickets to the Dent Schoolhouse attraction valued at $7,470 and was selling them outside a nearby grocery store.

They say the tickets went missing during a break-in.

Hill says she bought the tickets on a Web site from a man who told her he worked at the haunted house and was given the tickets as compensation. A message seeking comment was left for her attorney.
