Pa. family’s 2 dogs found shot along train tracks
CHADDS FORD, Pa. (AP) — Animal welfare officials in suburban Philadelphia are asking for help in finding the person who fatally shot two dogs that belonged to a local family.
The dogs, Emma and Luna, were reported missing from their home near Chadds Ford on Sunday morning. Later that afternoon, a resident found the dogs’ bodies alongside some railroad tracks nearby.
Rich Britton, a spokesman for the Chester County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, says both dogs had been shot in the head. They were placed tail-to-tail next to the tracks.
The agency is offering a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
