WESTMINSTER 3, THIEL 1

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. — For a fourth consecutive season, Westminster has posted at least 10 conference wins after the Titans picked up an important Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) win at home over Thiel, 3-1 (25-18, 19-25, 25-21, 25-21). The third-place Titans are 11-18 overall and 10-3 in the PAC, while the second-place Tomcats fall to 19-8 overall and 8-2 in the league. Westminster avenged a four-set loss to Thiel from earlier in the season. The loss also ended Thiel’s 10-game unbeaten streak. Freshman Alyssa Chine (North Jackson/Jackson-Milton) led the Thiel offensive with 10 kills, while sophomore Megan Kay (Girard/Liberty High) was close behind with nine.

Washington & Jefferson 3, Grove City 0

WASHINGTON, Pa. — The Grove City College volleyball team dropped a 25-21,

25-16, 25-13 decision to host Washington & Jefferson in a Presidents’ Athletic Conference match at the Henry Memorial Center. Junior libero Kim Budd (Hubbard) recorded 16 digs to lead the Wolverine defense while junior Inge Rasmussen contributed 12 digs.
