Men rob delivery driver

YOUNGSTOWN — Police are looking for two young men accused of robbing a delivery driver of food and cash.

The 21-year-old delivery driver for the Main Moon Restaurant on Belmont Avenue delivered food Sunday afternoon to a house in the 500 block of West Ravenwood Avenue on the South Side. A man met him at the door, then retrieved a gun from inside the house and robbed the man of the food and about $60.

Police later determined the house to be vacant. Officers went to another vacant house and found the empty food containers from the order.

The cell phone used to place the food order was stolen earlier in the day from a car on Glenwood Avenue.

Shots fired at house

YOUNGSTOWN — Police are trying to determine who fired multiple shots at a South Side home while the resident and four small children were asleep in a front room.

A 34-year-old Hilton Avenue man told police some fired several rounds from a large-caliber firearm at his home just after 5 a.m. Sunday. Police found large holes in the siding, windows and interior walls of the home.

There were four children sleeping on the living room floor directly beneath the path of the penetrating bullets, reports said.

GREENFORD — Four people were injured in a two-car collision at state Routes 45 and 165 in Green Township.

His car was hit by a northbound car on Route 45 driven by Kelly L. Moracco, 33, of Salem, according to a patrol report.

Watkins was taken to Akron City Hospital, where he was in serious condition Monday. Police said a passenger in his car, Nick Lewis, of Hermitage, Pa., suffered serious injuries and was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, but the hospital said he wasn’t a patient.

Moracco and a passenger, Kassidy M. Leake, 2, of Salem, were taken to Salem Community Hospital with minor injuries, but the hospital said Monday that neither was a patient.
