Hearing reset on Forum Health plan to pay former CEO, hire interim CEO
YOUNGSTOWN — A hearing in U.S. Bankruptcy Court on Forum Health’s requests to hire an interim chief executive officer and former CEO Walter “Buzz” Pishkur as a high-paid consultant has been rescheduled for Oct. 27. The hearing originally was to be today.
Forum is seeking to retain Pishkur at a rate of up to $9,000 a week. Also, Forum wants to hire Charles W. Neumann as interim CEO. Neumann has some 30 years of health-care business and management experience, including turnaround management, according to a Forum statement.
At this morning’s hearing, attorneys for Forum and its primary lenders said they have “agreed in principle” to a continuance of the hospital system’s use of its cash collateral through Jan. 14, 2010. The attorneys said they expect to file a stipulated document on the matter with Judge Kay Woods later today or on Wednesday.
