A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Oct. 12

Drug abuse, paraphernalia: Police arrested a Canfield man for possession of marijuana and a multicolored glass smoke pipe with marijuana residue at Cardinal Drive and Brookpark Drive.

Oct. 13

Theft: Two speakers in a box lined with material, two amplifiers and a crossover were stolen from two vehicles that were broken into at M&M Auto Sales, 470 W. Main St.

Drug abuse: Police charged a 20-year-old Canfield man with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested behind a building at Fair Park, 330 Oak St., after police found him smoking a marijuana cigarette. He also had small quantities of suspected marijuana on him.

AUSTINTOWN

Oct. 12

Auto theft: A 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Selkirk Road and recovered in Portage County.

Theft: Two flat-screen televisions were stolen from the Country Inn, 5570 Interstate Boulevard.

Theft: $27.01 in gasoline was stolen from McQuaid’s,5160 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Two suspects stole DVDs at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Auto theft: A 1995 Chevrolet Lumina was stolen from a home in the 100 block of North Roanoke Avenue.

Theft: A purse was taken with a checkbook at Cracker Barrel, 5600 Interstate Blvd.

Theft: A boys bicycle was stolen from a home in the 100 block of Idlewood Road.

Theft: A woman’s purse was taken at Body Works, 5511 Silica Road, and suspects used a credit card from it at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Oct. 13

Breaking and entering: A storage unit was entered in the 5000 block of West Webb Road.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges on a Visa account were reported at a home in the 10 block of Benton Avenue.

Fraud: Thirty unauthorized charges were made on a Visa debit account at home in the 10 block of Peggy Lane.

Burglary: Two flat-screen televisions were taken from a home in the 900 block of Kirwan Drive.

Misuse of credit card: A man is a suspect in the misuse of a credit card at home in the 1000 block of Idaho Road.

Identity theft: Bills for multiple charges on credit cards with balances were sent to a man and his wife that were opened using their information at a home in the 1000 block of Fairmeadow Drive.

Theft: Police arrested a Boardman man for theft.

Theft: A woman is a suspect in a theft at Wal-Mart.

Oct. 14

Burglary: A woman was a victim of burglary at a home in the 3000 block of Rosemont Avenue.

Fraud: $160 in four transactions was removed from a debit account at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Theft: A trailer hitch was stolen from an auto at an undetermined location.

Theft: Medication was stolen from an apartment in the 3000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Aggravated menacing: A man is a suspect in making numerous phone and text threats to a man at a home in the 5000 block of Cider Mill Crossing.

Menacing: A man threatened to injure another man in a cell-phone call to his wife’s phone at a home in the 3000 block of Brookview Court.

Criminal damaging: A lawn was damaged at a home in the 3000 block of Rebecca Drive.

Telecommunication harassment: Unwanted telephone calls were reported at Bamboo Garden, 5468 Mahoning Ave.

Oct. 15

Theft: A male suspect took a bottle of wine at Conroy’s Express, 3670 S. Meridian Road.

Theft: An AM-FM/CD stereo and a black nylon CD case were stolen from an auto in the parking lot at Wal-Mart.

Theft: Three suspects were arrested in the theft of two Xbox 360 games valued at $99 each at Wal-Mart.

Burglary: A vacant house was entered and copper was stolen in the 5000 block of Baker Street.

Oct. 16

Identity theft: A loan was opened in the victim’s name in the 5000 block of Willowcrest Avenue.

Drug charges: A North Jackson man was arrested for obstructing official business and possession of drug paraphernalia, and an Austintown man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing official business at State Route 46 and Lou Ida Road.

Oct. 17

Theft: A go-cart was stolen from an auto in the 900 block of Compass West apartments.

Fireworks complaint: A man was issued a summons on a fireworks complaint at state Route 46 and Mahoning Avenue.

Theft: Two pumpkins were stolen at Angiullis’ Market, 5800 Mahoning Ave.

Drug offense: Police arrested a Canton man for possession of marijuana at Club 76, 5335 Seventy-Six Drive.

Oct. 18

Drug offense: A Youngstown man was arrested for possession of marijuana in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Criminal trespassing: A man was issued a summons for trespassing at a home in the 2000 block of Vollmer Drive.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at The Wedge, 1743 S. Raccoon Road.

Burglary: A jewelry box with its contents was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Stark Drive.

Assault: A female was assaulted by two men at The Wedge.

Drug offense: An Austintown man was arrested for possession of cocaine at North Meridian Road and Crum Road.

Breaking and entering: A juvenile male was apprehended and released to his parents after breaking into the old Austintown Middle School building, 5800 Mahoning Ave.
