Kent State 28, Eastern Michigan 6

YPSILANTI, Mich. — Spencer Keith passed for two touchdowns and ran for another score for Kent State. Keith connected for touchdowns with Tyshon Goode on a 48-yard pass and Jon Simpson on a 1-yard throw. He also ran 1 yard for a score. Keith’s backup, Leneric Muldrow, added a fourth touchdown for the Golden Flashes (3-4, 2-1). Muldrow scored on his only pass of the game, a 31-yard throw to Kendrick Pressley. Joe Carithers kicked two field goals for the Eagles (0-6, 0-3).

Buffalo 21, Akron 17

AMHERST, N.Y.— Mario Henry’s 1-yard touchdown with 5:59 left lifted Buffalo. Zach Maynard was 20-for-35 for 205 yards and two touchdowns, both to Naaman Roosevelt, for the Bulls (3-4, 1-2 Mid-American Conference). Roosevelt, who had 12 receptions for 100 yards, became Buffalo’s all-time career receptions leader with 250 catches. Patrick Nicely was 17-for-34 for 200 yards with two interceptions for Akron. The Zips (1-5, 0-3) took a 7-0 lead when guard Mike Ward jumped on a loose ball in the Bulls’ end zone. Buffalo tied it with 8:47 left in the first half on a 7-yard scoring pass from Maynard to Roosevelt. Maynard’s 8-yard scoring strike to Roosevelt with 4:34 left in the third gave Buffalo a 14-7 lead. Ursuline High graduate Alex Allen scored on a 1-yard run to tie it at 14, then Branko Rogovic put Akron ahead 17-14 with a 30-yard field goal.

Ohio 28, Miami (Ohio) 7

ATHENS — Donte Harden rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns to lead Ohio. Harden scored on a pair of 1-yard runs to help the Bobcats (5-2, 3-0 Mid-American Conference) win their third consecutive game and defeat Miami for the fourth straight time. It is Ohio’s first 3-0 conference start since 1997. Theo Scott threw two touchdown passes to Terrence McCrae as Ohio scored 28 consecutive points after Miami (0-7, 0-3) took a 7-0 lead on Zac Dysert’s 1-yard run with 10:07 left in the first quarter. Harden’s first 1-yard run tied the game at 7 with 1:08 remaining in the first quarter. Scott, who threw for 163 yards, hit McCrae on a 24-yard pass for a 14-7 lead and then connected with him again on an 8-yard scoring pass for a 21-7 lead.

Bowling Green 31, Ball State 17

MUNCIE, Ind. — Freddie Barnes caught three touchdown passes from Tyler Sheehan to lead Bowling Green. Sheehan went 28 of 41 for 376 yards for the Falcons (3-4, 2-1 Mid-American). Barnes’ touchdown receptions were part of a 10-catch, 160-yard day. Chris Wright added six receptions for 104 yards for Bowling Green, which led 24-0 at the half. Chris Bullock scored on a 26-yard run for the Falcons, and Jerry Phillips added a field goal.

Toledo 20, N. Illinois 19

TOLEDO — DaJuane Collins ran 16 times for 139 yards and two TDs, including a 4-yard plunge with 6:32 left that rallied the Rockets (4-3) past the Huskies (3-3).

Temple 27, Army 13

PHILADELPHIA — Temple used a well-timed challenge to get an interception overturned by replay, then scored the go-ahead touchdown three plays later.

Central Michigan 34, Western Michigan 23

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Dan LeFevour threw for two touchdowns and ran for one more to lead Central Michigan. LeFevour went 18 for 30 for 238 yards and had the second-most rushing yards of the game with 76.
