YOUNGSTOWN — Garden Forum of Greater Youngstown sponsored a standard flower show, luncheon and meeting Nov. 11 at the Davis Center in Mill Creek Park.
Winners of blue ribbons in horticulture were:
• Pearl Marlos, Mary Lou Flere and Rose Marie Roth, Gleaners.
• Sheila Bowman and Anne Ellis, Nature Lovers.
• Mary Schall and Wanda Hughes, Austintown.
• Dorothy Haddox, Our Lady of Fatima.
• Dee Ringer, Sally Foster and Betty Millard, Trailwood.
Blue ribbons in design were awarded to:
• Marlos and Roth, Gleaners.
• Ann Hanka, Susie Cochran and Pat Parsons, East Liverpool.
Receiving blue ribbon in crafts were:
• Flere, Gleaners.
• Schall, Austintown.
• Parsons, East Liverpool.
• Esther Burch, Nature Lovers.
A special award in horticulture went to Flere, and Marlos received a special award in design.
Judges for the show were Ellis, Elsie DeHoff and Jane Long.
