2 killed, 3 seriously injured in Warren crash


WARREN — A one-car accident killed two people and injured three others, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

The OSHP Southington post said alcohol and “a very high rate” of speed were involved in the crash, which happed at 2:20 a.m. on North Leavitt Road in Warren Township.

David Eubank, 24, of Newton Falls, was driving a 1997 Ford Mustang when he lost control and hit a tree broadside, the patrol said. The car was ripped in half, with both pieces tumbling down an embankment.

Eubank’s passengers were all ejected. Rory J. Drnek, 25, of Mansfield, and Benjamin Bosley, 25, of Leavittsburg were killed. Both Eubank and Michael Lester, 24, of Leavittsburg are in St. Elizabeth Health Center, and Amber Hann, 23, of Newton Falls, is in Trumbull Memorial Hospital. All three were listed in critical condition Saturday night.

The patrol said the crash investigation will be turned over to the Trumbull County prosecutor.
