Police seek teen in connection with robbery


YOUNGSTOWN— Police are on the lookout for a teenager wanted in connection with an armed robbery.

The victims told police that they were closing Galaxy Seafood, 1722 Belmont Avenue, about 6:25 p.m. Wednesday when the robber walked into the business brandishing a handgun.

The robber demanded that money from the register be placed in a backpack that contained business documents, according to the report, but the register was empty. The robber pulled a second gun before fleeing the business.

The victims said that they chased the robber west on Crandall Avenue, where he fired several rounds before disappearing near the 800 block, according to the report.

The robber was described as a black male, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and 125 pounds and between 15 and 17 years old, according to police.
