Car kills black bear in NW Pa., occupants unhurt


ATLANTIC, Pa. (AP) — State police say three people have escaped injury after the car they were in struck and killed a black bear on Interstate 79 in northwestern Pennsylvania.

Police say the PT Cruiser driven by Brenda Dugan, of Erie, hit the bear about 3:45 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Township, Crawford County.

Police say Dugan and two passengers were wearing seat belts and were not hurt.
