DAMASCUS — The 4:30 p.m. June 20 wedding of Ashley Elizabeth Martig and Steven Charles Moore took place at Damascus Friends Church with the Rev. Don Herr officiating.

Earl and Connie Martig, 11126 state Route 534, Beloit, are the bride’s parents, and Mr. Moore is a son of Chuck and Nina Moore, 14861 Floral Drive.

A reception took place at The Quarry Golf Club in East Canton, and the couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

The bride’s strapless mermaid-style taffeta gown was embellished with rhinestones, silver sequins and beads.

Her sisters, Kimberly Spencer and Shannon Martig, were matron and maid of honor, respectively. They wore petal pink tea-length gowns, as did the bridesmaids, Nicole Carnivale; Jen Martig, the bride’s sister-in-law; Kristin Ludt; Desiree Iden, the bride’s cousin; Angela Gashorn; and Autumn Bates. The groom’s cousin Kirstin Smith was flower girl.

Matt McGary was best man, and groomsmen were Nat Fergason; Ryan and Brad Martig, the bride’s brothers; Joe Schertzer, the groom’s cousin; Jeremy Morore, his brother; and Matt Leech. The groom’s nephew, Colin Moore, was ring bearer.

Mrs. Moore has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Youngstown State University and is a revenue agent with the IRS in Canton.

Her husband earned a bachelor’s in business administration from YSU and is an account manager with General Commercial Corp. in Sebring.
