Ursuline school craft show to feature gifts for giving

Special to The Vindicator POWER PACK: Ohio State University alumni, boosters or fans will have an opportunity to win a basket filled with these OSU themed items during the “Once Upon a Christmas Craft Show” Dec. 5 at Ursuline Preschool and Kindergarten, 4200 Shields Road. This is only one of many gift-filled baskets to be raffled at the event.

AUSTINTOWN — Ursuline Preschool and Kindergarten, 4300 Shields Road, will host its 21st annual “Once Upon a Christmas Craft Show,” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 5. There will be more than 100 craft displays.

In conjunction with the event, tickets will be sold during the show for basket raffles, with drawings at the close of the show.

There will be baskets containing such items as lottery tickets, gas cards valued at $150, gift cards with a value of $630, and a variety of toys for children. There will be more than a dozen theme baskets, such as Crayola Kids, Santa’s Sleigh, Pamper Yourself, Buckeye Power, Memory Lane and Perk Me Up.

Featured will be two mega raffle baskets.

The High Tech Family Fun basket is valued at more than $3,400 and includes a Kid’s Power Wheels Kawasaki ATV, an IPod Touch Insignia 22-inch LCD TV, a high definition video camera, an audio/gaming chair by Ice x-Rocker, a digital photo frame, a SportCraft StepBack 3 Basketball Hoop, and a Brother Deluxe labeler.

The Treasure Chest of Family Gifts is valued at more than $1,100 and includes gift cards from such places as Camelot Lanes, Pizza Hut, Salon Extravaganza, Broadstreet Diner, Pat Catan’s, Julia’s Bed and Breakfast, Great Harvest Bread Co., The Difference, Pine Lakes Golf Club, Ange Netta’s, Perkins, Creekside Fitness, Outback Steakhouse, and more.

Tickets for most baskets are six for $5 or $1 each, and for themed baskets the tickets are two for $1. They can be purchased in advance at the school during regular hours.

In addition to the basket raffles, there will be a 50-50 drawing. The winner of last year’s drawing received more than $1,700.
