Death ruled homicide
WARREN — The death of a city man whose body was found on North Feederle Street Southeast early Sunday has been ruled a homicide. Dr. Humphrey Germaniuk, Trumbull County coroner, ruled James I. Folmar died of multiple gunshot wounds. Dr. Germaniuk would not say how many times Folmar was shot.
Warren police said Tuesday they have not made any arrests. Folmar, 37, lived on South Feederle Drive in the Trumbull Homes housing development near the Willard K-8 School. Police found the body when responding to calls regarding gunshots being fired and someone running way. They found Folmar’s body in the roadway.
Accused of molestation
CAMPBELL — Police are investigating a complaint from a 9-year-old girl that her father has had sexual contact with her.
The girl told police Friday at the middle school that her father has taken showers with her and touched her inappropriately.
Detective Sgt. Dave Taybus, who is the police department’s juvenile officer, went to the girl’s home and spoke to her parents. A Children Services Board caseworker went with him, a police report says.
The father is leaving the residence until he’s told he can return, the police report says.
CSB is setting up a meeting with the mother and two other children in the home, 5- and 4-year-old girls, the report says.
Woman faces charges
WARREN — Delshawn L. Dansler, 25, of Ridge Road Southeast, was in critical condition Tuesday in Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital with two gunshot wounds to the chest after being shot, allegedly by a female he knows.
Asia Bradley, 23, of 970 Tod Ave. N.W., was arraigned Tuesday in Warren Municipal Court on one count of felonious assault. Judge Thomas Gysegem set bond at $5,000 and scheduled a preliminary hearing for 10:15 a.m. Tuesday.
Sgt. Jeff Cole of the Warren Police Department said detectives were hoping to talk to Dansler on Tuesday if he was healthy enough. Officers so far don’t know what led up to the shooting, Cole said.
Police were called to Bradley’s apartment about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday for a disturbance. They found Dansler had been shot. They questioned Bradley and took her into custody.
Robbery investigated
WARREN — Warren Township police are investigating a Monday-morning robbery at the Lucky Inn tavern on West Market Street. No arrest has been made.
An employee said she was preparing to leave the tavern with a money bag about 10:17 a.m. when she discovered a man standing just inside the door of the tavern.
The man grabbed the employee’s purse and the money bag and left, apparently on a motorcycle. The person seen leaving on the motorcycle got on the Route 5 Bypass and then exited at West Market Street, said police Lt. Don Bishop.
Man robbed, beaten
WARREN — A 20-year-old Woodbine Avenue Southeast man reported being robbed and beaten in front of his house at 1 a.m. Monday by four men.
The victim said he was walking home from the store when the men confronted him. One struck him in the face, and they dragged him into his house and took a gold chain, two rings, a camcorder, computer and PlayStation games.
Food drive
NEWTON FALLS — The Newton Falls Junior High School student council led a food drive that collected about 750 food items in less than two weeks. The food was collected for the Newton Falls Community Pantry and will help needy families in that area.
Closing for the season
POLAND — Beginning Monday, the township will stop accepting grass, leaves and brush at its recycling center bin on Clingan Road. The site will close for the season.
