A summary of recent criminal activity in Boardman:

Nov. 19

Theft: A 42-year-old Youngstown man was arrested during a traffic stop near South Avenue and charged with stealing a $68 coat from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.

Burglary: To a Lakeshore Drive residence via the front door, though police found no signs of forced entry, and nothing appeared to be missing.

Theft: A woman reported her son’s $4,000 violin and related accessories had been stolen from a storage room at Boardman Center Middle School, 7410 Market St.

Truck theft: A 1983 Chevrolet pickup truck was missing from a Market Street dealership.

Theft: Several pieces of jewelry were removed from a vehicle in the 1700 block of Basil Avenue.

Burglary: A resident of a Market Street health-care facility reported someone had entered her room and took several pieces of jewelry.

Burglary/menacing/damage: A woman told police her boyfriend forced open a side window, broke into her Aravesta Avenue apartment, damaged some of her property and held a knife to her throat.

Theft: Two women around age 30 stole $15 worth of merchandise from Family Dollar, 4026 South Ave.

Theft: A dealer plate was stolen off a car in the township.

Theft: A woman’s $359 cell phone was stolen at a Boardman-Canfield Road business.

Nov. 20

Theft: A woman’s purse was stolen as she patronized a Boardman-Poland Road eatery.

Theft: Someone took a tire gauge and loose change from a car in the 300 block of Erskine Avenue.

Theft: A man in his 20s left Buffalo Wild Wings in the Southern Park Mall and failed to pay his $51.75 bill for beverages.

Theft: A silver chain and other items were stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Erskine Avenue.

Theft: A township boy, 12, was released to the custody of his father after having been accused of stealing $236 worth of merchandise from Sears in the Southern Park Mall.

Misuse of a credit card: A Carter Circle woman discovered a fraudulent $29 online charge.

Domestic violence: A 15-year-old boy was taken into custody at his Boardman home and charged after his sister alleged the teen had pushed and threatened her after becoming angry when accused of stealing money from her.

Theft: A $150 wristwatch and a charge card were removed from a car in the 100 block of Erskine Avenue.

Theft: Candy was taken from a vehicle in the 700 block of Indianola Road.

Theft/damage: A vehicle’s window was broken in the 100 block of Melrose Avenue. Stolen were a $150 pair of sunglasses and a carton of cigarettes.

Domestic violence: A township man, 34, was charged after his fianc e alleged he had slapped her in the head and tried to punch her in the face during an argument. He also was wanted on a probation-violation charge.

Breaking and entering: Someone entered a garage in the 1700 block of Mathews Road before taking a lawn mower, a snow blower, an air compressor and $3,000 worth of tools.

Theft: A $25 car-phone charger was removed from a vehicle in the 5200 block of Southern Boulevard.

Attempted theft: Someone ransacked a car in the 100 block of Erskine Avenue, apparently in an effort to steal property.

Nov. 21

Theft: A $500 Vindicator newspaper box was missing from Wolosyn Circle and Mathews Road.

Assault: A Youngstown girl suffered several scratches in an assault at the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: A woman’s wallet was stolen at a Market Street restaurant.

Assault: A Warren woman alleged her boyfriend had struck her in the mouth and punched her several times in the ribs and chest during an argument in a parking lot in the 300 block of Boardman-Poland Road.

Misuse of a credit card: A worker for a Tiffany Boulevard eatery reported someone obtained her debit-card number from a receipt, then used it to pay a $250 cable bill.

Menacing: An employee of a South Avenue store told police two people threatened to harm her.

Theft: A Youngstown woman, 26, was booked, accused of taking a $45 pair of women’s boots from Payless Shoesource, 48 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: Fifty compact discs, loose change and a book bag containing various papers were removed from a car in the 100 block of Prestwick Drive.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s rear vent window was broken in the 50 block of Prestwick Drive.

Theft/criminal damaging: Someone broke a car window in the 4000 block of Hudson Drive, then stole a book bag, a wallet and two textbooks.

Nov. 22

Domestic violence: A township girl, 17, was charged after her mother alleged the girl had punched the accuser in the face several times and stomped on her stomach during an argument about the teen’s borrowing a vehicle.

Arrest: A Warren woman, 32, was arrested in the 200 block of Boardman-Canfield Road on warrants from Trumbull County charging her with contempt of court and a probation violation.

Domestic violence: Officers responded to a fight between two sisters on Squirrel Hill Drive, where they charged a 21-year-old Youngstown woman with domestic violence, obstructing official business and resisting arrest. The woman became agitated and erratic, and refused to cooperate with police, a report showed.

Theft: An Ingram Drive man reported three pipe jacks, roofing shingles and other related items missing from his driveway.

Identity theft: A Boardman woman discovered a phone account had been opened in her name without consent, along with a $900 charge.

Nov. 23

Theft: A hubcap was removed from a car at the Southern Park Mall.

Arrest: Authorities responded to a disturbance at a Boardman store and arrested a Youngstown man, 19, wanted by Youngstown police on charges of larceny and assault.

Theft: An undisclosed amount of money and a number of checks were stolen from Bazooka Ball Blast in the Southern Park Mall.

Identity theft: A Yarmouth Lane man learned that two unauthorized withdrawals originating in Montreal had been made to his checking account.

Theft/drugs: A 47-year-old Poland woman faced charges of theft as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and drug-abuse instruments after a DVD player and a compound saw were stolen from Sears. Three metal spoons with suspected heroin residue were found, a report said.

Drugs: A traffic stop on South Avenue led to charges of possession of drugs and dangerous drugs against a 23-year-old Youngstown man when, police said, a bag containing nine pills was found.
