Pritchard clients urged to call bar office

staff report

YOUNGSTOWN — Clients with unfinished cases that were handled by recently suspended Atty. Warren “Bo” Pritchard should contact the Mahoning County Bar Association for a referral to a new lawyer or to retrieve their files.

Atty. Scott Cochran, association president, said those clients should call his office at (330) 743-6300 during business hours. Cochran’s office is at 19 E. Front St.

About 35 lawyers belonging to the association have agreed to complete work on these cases without compensation, Cochran said.

Pritchard turned over to the association about 100 active cases in the bankruptcy, criminal, civil, probate and domestic-relations fields, Cochran said.

The Ohio Supreme Court suspended Pritchard from law practice, effective immediately, Nov. 10 on the grounds that he violated the state code of professional conduct for lawyers.

The association sought the suspension based on reported misconduct, ranging from clients’ paying Pritchard in advance for services they never received to Pritchard’s failing to appear in court or failing to make timely case filings.
