CANFIELD — City police cleared tenants this afternoon and shut down the El Patio motel per a court order.

A Mahoning County Common Pleas Court magistrate issued the temporary restraining order this morning, shutting down the motel. The city has argued that the business is a nuisance.

Arthur Klein, the owner, declined to comment.

The court order follows an investigation by city police in which five people, including Kline, were charged with offenses related to prostitution.
