NEW CASTLE, Pa. — The city has been awarded a $10,861 grant under the state Department of Environmental Protection’s Recycling Performance Grant Program.
State Rep. Chris Sainato, D-Lawrence-Beaver, said the grant is based on 1,074 tons of material the city recycled in 2005 and on the city’s population.
