Videos of Trumbull life can win prize money

WARREN — The Warren Area Board of Realtors is looking for videos of life in Trumbull County to use on the Web site www.WhyILoveWarren.com and has $1,500 in prize money to distribute.

The Realtors will judge the videos and choose 10 by August and will allow the public to vote on the best ones.

The purpose of the videos is to provide content for the ILoveWarren site, as well as the site www.ComeToWarren.com, which the Board of Realtors hopes will attract people from such places as Westchester County near New York City.

In the 2008 Housing Affordability Index, Westchester County was called the most expensive place to live in the United States, while the Mahoning Valley and other areas between Pittsburgh and Cleveland were deemed the most affordable.

The Realtors hope to show young retirees in such places as Westchester County, or workers who might be able to move their work to another location, that the Mahoning Valley would be a great place to relocate.

The downtown restaurant Sunrise Inn is providing $1,500 in prize money for the videos, including a $750 first prize.
