17-year-old dies in fall at state park in Columbiana County

EAST LIVERPOOL — State police said Dustin Huffman, 17, of Edgewood Avenue, Salem, was killed when he fell 80 to 100 feet down a sheer rock face in a remote area of Beaver Creek State Park.

Police said Huffman and a second boy were working for a tree service company and went exploring during a work break.

Huffman apparently lost his footing and fell, landing in a rocky area, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by an investigator for the Columbiana County coroner’s office.
