Special services mark end of Year of St. Paul

YOUNGSTOWN — The Diocese of Youngstown will mark the closing of the Jubilee Year of St. Paul the Apostle with a celebration of solemn evening prayer on Monday, the Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul.

Bishop George V. Murry will be the celebrant at a service at 7 p.m. at St. Paul Church, 241 S. Main St., North Canton.

In addition, the other parishes in the diocese under the patronage of St. Paul will mark the occasion.

On Sunday, the vigil of the Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul, a vigil Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. at St. Paul Church, 1459 Superior Avenue, N.E., Canton.

The Rev. Jeffrey Mickler of the Society of St. Paul in Ellsworth will give the homily during a Mass at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul Church, 935 E. State St., Salem.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will celebrate evening prayer at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. St. Peter and Paul Croatian Church, 421 Covington St., will celebrate the Mass of the Solemnity at 7 p.m. Monday.
