Crash kills 2, injures 2

LISBON — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash that took the lives of two people on state Route 164 near Renkenberger Road.

According to police, Larry D. Blakeman, 52, of Leetonia and Charles A. Montgomery, 79, of Struthers died as a result of injuries suffered in the accident.

According to police, the 1994 Geo Prizm being driven by Blakeman went left of center and was struck by a 2008 Saturn Vue driven by Michael Montgomery, 56, of Poland. Blakeman died at the scene. Charles Montgomery, a passenger in the Saturn, also died at the scene.

Michael Montgomery and two other passengers in the Saturn — June Montgomery of Struthers and Robin Montgomery of Poland — were taken to area hospitals for treatment. There is no word on their conditions.
