Golf scramble to aid kids with cancer

BOARDMAN — Mill Creek Golf Course will be the setting Saturday for the 5th annual Charity Golf Scramble, sponsored by the A Way With Words Foundation as a benefit for the ROCcK Children’s Choir, the Kids Helping Kids program and other cancer-related programs.

This year there will be a women’s team and mixed and junior adult teams.

The cost for a four-person team is $300 and includes green fees, cart, food, and beverages. There will be prizes for every hole, a hole-in-one grand prize of a 2009 Dodge Charger with a hemi, courtesy of Bob and Chuck Eddy; hole-in-one prizes of a big screen TV; two round-trip airline tickets; a set of Big Bertha clubs and other items.
