Wharmby Sports wins in 11th in Class B League

STRUTHERS — A bases-loaded walk in the top of the 11th inning scored the winning run as Wharmby Sports defeated Action Physical Therapy, 5-4, in a Class B League game on Monday night.

Ben Bechtol had four hits, while Dom Lapolla added three for Wharmby (12-5). John Price (2-1) went four innings in relief for the win. Jason Burkes drew the bases-loaded walk that scored the winning run. Dom Neely had a pair of hits and drove home two runs for Action (2-15), while Vince Falconi, Matt Corner, and Mike Hartman added two hits each. Jarrod Seech started and went 71‚Ñ3 innings for Action allowing only one earned run.

Astro Falcons 6, Livi Steel 1

NILES — Jared Turocy, Shane Wagner, and Phil Woods had two hits each while Jake Dando had 13 strikeouts in 51‚Ñ3 innings for his second win as Astro improved to 12-5.

Taylor Callahan drove home the lone Livi Steel (3-14) run with a sixth inning single.

Dave Sugar Excavating 9, OTN Performance 6

STRUTHERS — Jake Thomas’ pinch-hit single drove home the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh inning for Dave Sugar (7-9).

Joey Borreli had four hits awhile Nick Crum, John Sansone, and Matt Semach added two each for Sugar. Travis Richey tossed two scoreless innings for the win.

Joe Sekula had three hits and scored three times for OTN.

Warren AA

WARREN — Mike Hanck had three hits and two RBIs to lead Trumbull Merchants over Cleats Cub Seat Grille, 11-4, on Monday night.

Adam Morgan added two hits and four RBIs for the Merchants, while Dave Nypaver had two hits and three RBIs. Adam Morgan, Jeff Claar and Steve Liebel all had two singles.

Mike Swoboda led Cleats with three hits, while Matt Vadas and Mike Prachick both doubled. Dom Buffone drove in two runs and Andrew Beachy singled twice.

P.I.&I Express 8, Leon’s Brewers 4

WARREN — Tom Senich had two hits, and Dave Patrick had a double and two RBIs for the Express. Frank Rosile and Cory Hitt also drove in two runs each.

Steve Hughes hit a double, Dan Popadak singled three times and Adam Collier had two RBIs for the Brewers.
