Nemacolin resort to host some G-20 summit leader

PITTSBURGH (AP) — A posh western Pennsylvania resort that has hosted former presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush will accommodate at least some of the 19 world leaders who will attend the G-20 economic summit.

Chris Plummer, assistant general manager of Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington says the resort is hosting an unspecified number of summit participants. The resort about 35 miles south of Pittsburgh was founded by 84 Lumber magnate Joe Hardy and, at one time, hosted its own PGA Tour event, the 84 Lumber Classic

President Barack Obama chose Pittsburgh as the site for the G-20’s next summit on Sept. 24-25.

All 335 rooms, suites, townhouses and private homes are listed as sold out for Sept. 22-25.

About 3,500 international delegates and journalists are expected at the summit.
