WARREN — Police have charged one juvenile and one 19-year-old woman in the armed robbery of the Circle K store, 1361 North Leavitt Road

Warren police said two males entered the store just after midnight Wednesday, one of them wearing a wig. He pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money.

A third male was standing watch outside the store.

After getting cash from the register, the clerk picked up the phone to call 911, and the men ran, getting into a vehicle a couple of blocks away.

They were chased by a customer until an officer from the Warren Township Police Department stopped the vehicle, causing the suspects to flee on foot.

Champion and Warren police officers, including a police dog, and a citizen who saw the suspects run south on Southern Boulevard helped track one of the suspects to a porch on Linda Drive, where he was arrested.

The youth was booked into the Trumbull County Juvenile Justice Center.

A female who had run from the car but returned later holding the car keys also was arrested.

She is Shakia W. Beacham, 19, of Fifth Street Southwest, charged with complicity to aggravated robbery.

She pleaded innocent Wednesday in Warren Municipal Court. She is being held in Trumbull County jail in lieu of $75,000 bond. If convicted, she could be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison.

Warren police are also investigating an armed robbery at Ianazone’s Pizza, 328 Southern Blvd. N.W., at 10:19 p.m. Tuesday.

Four or five people entered the pizza shop, some of them with weapons, and took cash and personal items, police said.

Those two armed robberies occurred one day after five males robbed the Red and White Store, 1104 W. Market St., at 10:10 p.m. Monday.

The five men in masks pushed two store employees back as they entered the business at closing time, police said. One of the men had a gun.

One witness estimated the robbers were between 16 and 20 years old. Three of the men were in all black, and the other two wore black pants and white shirts.
