Beaver Township sponsors kids safety day

NORTH LIMA — Beaver Township Park Board is sponsoring a Kids’ Fun & Safety Day Friday (July 31) at Woodworth Park.

The event, a first for the township, will feature a variety of activities designed to teach kids about safety and how to handle emergencies like fires and other situations they might have to face.

Local firefighters and police officers will be on hand to offer advice and answer questions. An inflatable ladder fire truck, equipped with a sliding board, will be at the scene for kids’ enjoyment. There will also be Bounce Arounds, games, music and a petting zoo.

Hours are 6 to 9 p.m. and is open to the public. Admission is free.

Woodworth Park is on Luther Avenue, off East Western Reserve Road between Market Street and Southern Blvd. The Kids’ Fun & Safety Day is one of several activities being sponsored by the Beaver Township Park Board. For information about this event or other park board activities, call (330) 549-9552.
