YOUNGSTOWN — Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley will distribute more than 110,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables this week at these member agency locations: 1 p.m. Thursday at Beulah Baptist Church, 570 Sherwood Ave.; 1 p.m. Friday at Mahoning Methodist Church, 2214 Mahoning Ave.; 8 a.m. Saturday at Big Reach Center of Hope, 11767 Lisbon Road, Greenford; and 11 a.m. Saturday at Southern Community Center, 45 E. Main Street, Salineville.
The produce is made available through the Agricultural Clearance Program, which leverages funds to procure surplus production of fresh fruits and vegetables from Ohio farmers. The program is funded through the state of Ohio.
