Springfield Twp. police arrest man on theft-by-deception charges

NEW SPRINGFIELD — Springfield Township Police arrested a 45-year-old Petersburg man on warrants charging him with theft by deception.

In both cases, Glenn R. Fulton is accused of taking money from the victims earlier this month. The victims believed they were paying Fulton toward the purchase of a trailer, but they didn’t receive the item.

A police officer on Thursday spotted Fulton’s car at a convenience store, waited from Fulton to leave the store and arrested him.

An inventory of the car found syringes in the trunk, Chief Matthew Mohn said today. That led to a charge of possession of drug abuse instruments. All the charges are misdemeanors.
