Age: 46.

Hometown: Solon, born in Cleveland.

Education: A 1985 graduate from Georgetown University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration, she received a law degree in 1995 from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

Occupation: A federal magistrate for Ohio’s Northern District, based in Akron, since August 2008.

Past employment: A certified public accountant since 1989; federal court law clerk from 1996 to 1998; worked for Jones Day Reavis & Pogue law firm in Cleveland from 1998 to 2000; assistant U.S. attorney with its organized crime and public corruption task force from 2000 to 2008.

Interests: Animals, the outdoors and long-distance running.
