No. 19 Virginia 89, No. 8 Maryland 81

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Lyndra Littles scored 30 points, Monica Wright had 28 and Virginia rallied past Maryland. Aisha Mohammed added 19 points and 16 rebounds for the Cavaliers (17-4, 4-2 Atlantic Coast Conference), who trailed by 13 in the second half but used a huge run to take command. They beat a team ranked in the top 10 for the second time this season. In mid-November, Virginia became only the 10th visiting team to win at then-No. 5 Tennessee. Maryland (16-4, 4-2) arrived having beating North Carolina in its last game and riding a three-game winning streak, but lost for the first time in seven meetings with Virginia. Marissa Coleman led the Terrapins with 19 points. Demauria Liles added 18 and Kristi Toliver 17.

No. 21 Pittsburgh 86, Marquette 54

PITTSBURGH — Shavonte Zellous scored 31 points and Pittsburgh won its fifth straight game. Zellous, the leading scorer in the Big East, moved within 21 points of becoming Pitt’s third 2,000-point scorer. Pepper Wilson had 13 points and 17 rebounds, and Taneisha Harrison added 15 points for the Panthers (16-4, 6-2). Krystal Ellis scored 13 points for Marquette (12-9, 3-4), which leads the series 4-2. The Golden Eagles struggled from the start and finished 16-for-61 from the field (26 percent). They didn’t make more than nine shots in either half. Zellous shot 6-for-12 and scored 17 points in the first half as the Panthers raced to a 43-21 lead.
