Free business seminars offered at Kent Salem

SALEM — A free “Business Breakfast Series” will be sponsored by Kent State University’s Salem and East Liverpool Workforce Development and Continuing Studies Department.
The first seminar is “Comparison of Continual Improvement Models” that will be presented by Tom Fazekas, the owner and manager of Quality Methods Specialists. The program on Friday will focus on quality-control programs.
The second seminar on Feb. 27 is aimed at successfully launching new products and services. The session will focus on new ways of assessing a company’s current product portfolio by analyzing market requirements and customer expectations.
The presenter is Michael Hripko, a business development and marketing executive.
The third seminar on March 20 is on small business succession planning with an emphasis on small or family-run companies. The presenter is Chris Cooper, a program coordinator at the Ohio Employee Ownership Center at KSU.
All programs are from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Kent State Salem City Center, 230 N. Lincoln Ave.
