Croley gets four months for animal cruelty

YOUNGSTOWN — The man who operated High Caliber K-9, a kennel where dogs starved to death, will serve four months in Mahoning County jail.
Croley, 38, appeared in municipal court today for sentencing on four counts of animal cruelty. He reached a plea agreement in December and pleaded no contest. Two housing violations related to the condition of the High Caliber K-9 property 1516 Coitsville-Hubbard Road, were dismissed.
He was arrested Oct. 22 after seven dead and 12 starving dogs were found at the business.
