No. 2 Duke 73, N.C. State 56

DURHAM, N.C. — Gerald Henderson scored 21 points and Duke pulled away late to beat North Carolina State. Nolan Smith hit consecutive 3-pointers 30 seconds apart to start the decisive run for the Blue Devils (17-1, 4-0 Atlantic Coast Conference). They closed the game on a 27-5 run and shot 76 percent in the second half. Kyle Singler had 14 of his 17 points in the second half and Smith finished with 13 to help Duke overcome a horrible start. Brandon Costner and Ben McCauley both scored 15 points for the Wolfpack (10-6, 1-3), who led for much of the way but hit just one field goal over the final 7:45 minutes. That cold spell helped Duke claim its 12th straight victory at Cameron Indoor Stadium over N.C. State, which hasn’t won inside the Blue Devils’ famously hostile arena since 1995.

WOMEN

No. 7 Louisville 68, Cincinnati 50

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Angel McCoughtry had 23 points, nine rebounds and eight steals to lead Louisville to its 14th straight victory. Candyce Bingham had 10 points and seven rebounds for the Cardinals (19-1, 6-0 Big East). Kahla Roudebush led Cincinnati with 18 points, while Michelle Jones had 12 and Jill Stephens 11.

No. 21 Rutgers 60, West Virginia 44

PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Epiphanny Prince scored 24 points and No. 21 Rutgers held West Virginia without a field goal for nearly 10 minutes. The Scarlet Knights (11-5, 3-2 Big East) were trailing 8-6 after Ashley Powell’s 3-pointer with 13 minutes left in the first half.

No. 25 Pittsburgh 76, Seton Hall 40

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. — Shavonte Zellous scored 29 points to lead Pittsburgh. It was the second straight blowout victory for the Panthers (13-4, 3-2 Big East).
