South Range’s Schuster sparks win over Lisbon

NORTH LIMA — Patty Schuster scored 13 points and made seven rebounds Tuesday to lead the South Range High girls basketball team to a 45-39 victory over Lisbon.

Caitlin Carter scored 12 points and made three steals and three assists as the Raiders (8-4, 3-3 Inter Tri-County League Tier One) handed the Blue Devils (9-2, 5-2) their second straight loss.

Megan Reynolds and Abbey Brammer led Lisbon with 14 and 11 points, respectively. Mindy Jackson had six points and six rebounds.

Warren Harding 61, Ashtabula Edgewood 35

ASHTABULA — Jasmine Kirkland, Ronisha Howard and Kourtney Williams scored 18, 12 and 12 points for Warren Harding, which rolled to a 35-20 lead by intermission. Howard also pulled down 12 rebounds.

Beaver Local 52, Wellsville 47

WELLSVILLE — The Beavers (6-6) built a 42-32 lead by the end of the third quarter, then held on for the victory. Michela Nicholson triggered the Beaver Local attack with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Alyson Derenburger had five assists and four steals.

Mikyla Tipton led the Tigers (4-7) with 18 points and two steals. P.J. Williams added 13 points.

Mathews 48, Youngstown Christian 42

YOUNGSTOWN — Tilly Dickerson scored 13 points to lead Mathews (5-7). Megan O’Dell contributed 10 points.

Caylin Hayes had 17 points to lead YCS (2-10), while Sara Bell had eight with 11 rebounds.
