SOLON — Kelly Barzak had a career-high 33 points and the senior center also grabbed eight of her team’s 29 rebounds as Howland defeated Cleveland John Adams, 84-18, in a Division I sectional final at Solon High School on Thursday night.
Taylor Williams had 17 points and Erika Nites 11 for second-seeded Howland (22-0), which will play No. 1 Twinsburg in the district semifinal on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Chanel Davis had 11 points for John Adams (5-16).

ASHTABULA — Champion was eliminated in a Division III sectional championship game at Lakeside High School.
