CLUB CALENDAR | Local organizations plan meetings

CLUBS

• The Antique Tractor Club of Trumbull County will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ali Baba Grotto, Perkins-Jones Road, Warren. Guests are welcome. A Plow Day and picnic will be April 18 at the Tricker Farm in Kinsman, and an annual Spring Gas-Up will be May 2 at Tractor Supply Co. on Elm Road, Warren.

• McDonald Community FCU will have its annual meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the McDonald K. of C. Hall.

• McDonald Parents of Performing Arts will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the senior citizens room at the McDonald post office building.

• Youngstown Business and Professional Women’s Club will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the DeBartolo Club at Youngstown State University for a program on “Women’s Entrepreneurs Event at YSU.” The Feb. 28 meeting will be at the Holiday Inn, Boardman, where the program will be “Time to Plan for the Future” women’s winter escape weekend at a cost of $15. There will be a Young Careerist and Individual Development speak-off, and an Ohio Region 4 meeting. Hosts will be Columbiana, Youngstown and East Liverpool locals.

• Youngstown Road Runners Club will meet for a run/walk at 9 a.m. Sunday at Bears Den Cabin, on New Cross Drive, Mill Creek Park. Club trustees will preside. Those seeking more miles may arrive at 8 a.m. The meeting is free to the public. For more information, e-mail danrun@zoominternet.net.

• Youngstown South Christian Women’s Club will have a “Splashes of Spring” meeting from noon to 2 p.m. March 12 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. Featured will be Morocco III Earthenware with Maryann Cox and music by Mike Hall. Diana Grounds of Barboursville, W.Va., will speak on “Great Expectations — What I Learned From My Children.” The cost is $12. • Dublin Grange will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Grange Hall. Dues will be collected, and the program will be by Gary Reel on a patriotic theme.

GUILDS

• The Youngstown Chapter of Embroiderer’s Guild of America will meet Tuesday at the I.O.O.F. Hall in Canfield. The morning meeting will begin at 10 a.m., and the evening meeting, at 7:30 p.m. Sally Svoboda will preside. The featured project will be a poinsettia on canvas by Mary Jane Brosko. • The Girard Men’s Democrat Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Parkwood Youth Center.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

• Court Bishop James McFadden 1650, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, will meet at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Sunrise Assisted Living, 335 McKinley Way W., Poland. Donations will be accepted for Birthright. Bingo will be played, and Kay Kovalchik will be hostess.

• The Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Altar and Rosary Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church, 618 Ohio Ave. to pray the Rosary, and a meeting will follow.

• The St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the parish house.

• St. Michael Altar Guild will meet at 6 p.m. March 2 in the Parish Center. Deacon Tom Soich will conduct benediction in the church. Pat Hoyle, president, will preside. Members will enjoy a soup supper. Deacon Tom will present the program “The Easter Season.” The hostesses are Agnes Romyak and Pauline Weldon. Guests are welcome.

SERVICE CLUBS

• Girard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Golf Dome, 1300 N. State St., Girard.

• D.A.R.E., a social group for divorced, widowed or separated people, has planned the following events: Monday, walking at Southern Park Mall from the food court at 6 p.m.; Tuesday, dance lessons with Judy Conti at Wedgewood Plaza at 7 p.m., cost $5; Wednesday, walking at Southern Park Mall from food court at 6 p.m.; Thursday, meeting at Disciples Christian Church at 7:30; Feb. 27, cheap movies at Boardman at 6:30, and Feb. 28, bowling at Boardman Lanes with sign-up at 7. • Mended Hearts Chapter 7, a heart support group for members and their families, will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Azalea Room at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Boardman Campus. Dr. Felix A. • Postpartum Support Group for the Youngstown/Warren area, sponsored by Postpartum Support International and Perinatal Outreach and Encouragement for Moms of Ohio, meets the first and third Thursdays of the month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at D&E Counseling Center, 142 Javit Court, Austintown.
