Warren man reports attack

WARREN — A 53-year-old city man told police he was struck several times with a hammer or mallet by a man who got out of a vehicle on Third Street Southwest on Wednesday evening.

The victim said he was walking when the man got out of a white Ford Expedition and attacked him, hitting him in the arm and wrist and kicking him in the face and head.

The victim had visible injuries but refused to go to the hospital.
