YOUNGSTOWN — Elena Andino-Esparra and Taylor Woytek each scored 13 points to lead the Cardinals (3-5). Dominique Zordich scored 10 points. For the Bulldogs (4-3), Emily Casto netted 17 points and Bre Hull 10.

Lutheran East 55, Ursuline 50

NORTH CANTON — Ursuline fell behind by 52-35 after three quarters, but rallied for a 15-3 scoring advantage in the final quarter, only to fall short at Hoover High gym. Kiarra Jones and Latisha Walker scored 13 points each for Lutheran East (10-2). Aurielle Iriizarry had 17 points and Jasmine Brown 15 to lead Ursuline (3-4).

Canfield 52, Hilliard Davidson 40

GAHANNA — Jillian Halfhil scored 21 points to lead Canfield to its third-place win in the Gahanna Lincoln High Holiday Tournament. Sabrina Mangapora contributed 12 rebounds and five points to aid the Cardinals (3-5) while Kaitlin Kaleel added nine points. Jamie Caton had 13 points and Addie Goodwin 11 to lead Hilliard Davidson (4-4).

Sebring 45, Heartland Christian 23

SEBRING — Jill Bragg and Katy Butler each scored 10 points for the Trojans while Haley Wheeler scored nine. For Heartland Christian, Erin Letarte scored nine points and Sam Lehman eight.

Newton Falls 49, Lordstown 41

LORDSTOWN — Destiny Prusky poured in 26 points to lead Newton Falls. She had 10 free throws as the Tigers had a 20-10 advantage at the foul line. Kelsey Wickline had 16 points and Lindsey Harrison 12 to spark Lordstown (7-2).

Minerva 42, West Branch 39

MINERVA — Chelsie Butler hit 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Minerva in a Northeastern Buckeye Conference game. The Lions (7-2, 4-1 NBC) built a 31-23 lead after three quarters then managed to hold off a West Branch (5-3, 2-3) comeback. Katie Sellaroli had 10 points and three steals, Tia King nine points and Brandi Snyder six assists and four points to spark the Warriors, while Andria Wingett added six rebounds..

Akron Firestone 54, East 44

AKRON — Chelsea Bennett scored 13 points as East finished runner-up in the Akron Firestone Tournament. Alex Hines scored 10 points as she and Bennett were selected as a East’s MVPs and Horton. Monday, East defeated Bedford, 74-31.
