BOARDMAN — The official release and book signing for “The Blessings of Survivor and Friends,” a book of photos and poem from across the nation, is 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at AwwwMazing Place! at the Southern Park Mall, 7401 Market St. Contributing authors will be on hand to sign the book, which sells for $10. All proceeds benefit the A Way With Words Foundation and local cancer programs. The book was written and published by A Way With Words Foundation, a nonprofit organization that gathered material for the book. Ira Joe Fisher from CBS News wrote the forward.
Local poets will be on hand to autograph other works, and accept material for another book. All works remain the authors’ and is on loan to the A Way With Words Foundation, created to provide avenues of expression for people who are survivors, relatives, or anyone who has been touched by cancer.
